Error Message:

ErrorCode: 61443

Message:Failed to connect to database 'MainDB.gxdb'. (ErrNo:-2147467259

Details:The Microsoft Jet database engine cannot open the file '\\SERVER\Sohodox Databases\MainDB.gxdb'. It is already opened exclusively by another user, or you need permission to view its data.)

Cause: The Databases folder does not contain adequate permission for Windows User’s. You can follow the below steps to provide permission for Windows User's on the Databases folder.

Solution: You can follow the below mentioned steps to resolve the issue

Step 1:

Sharing the folder

• Right-click the ' Sohodox Databases' folder and click on Properties. By Default, Sohodox Databases folder is created in your Windows C drive.
• Click on the Sharing tab. From the Sharing tab, click on the 'Share' button.
• Select the necessary Windows users from the drop-down list and click on the Add button.
• Select the Permission Level for each of these users. It is recommended to provide 'Read/Write' permission for all the user's. Click on the Share button.

Step 2:

Providing Share permissions

• Right-click the 'Sohodox Databases' folder and click on Properties tab.
• Click on the Sharing tab. Click on the 'Advanced Sharing...' button. The Advanced Sharing dialog will be launched.
• Click on the 'Permissions' button. Make sure you add the Windows users who will need to work with Sohodox to this list, giving the user 'Full Control' permission.
• Click on OK. Click on OK again to close the Advanced Sharing dialog.
